Boots, bandanas, and hats, oh my! This was definitely a favorite! Who doesn't love a good rodeo event?! Rodeo Queens and local Author/ Cowgirl Lindsey Miller made this day perfect! Beautiful ol' North Dakota tried to throw us a curveball with high winds but we just sinched up our belts a little tighter and moved a lot of our activities indoors. We did get two amazing tumble weeds out of the deal! They just rolled right up to our door in true old west fashion!
Little cowboys and cowgirls from all over town came down to help us at The Story Nook rodeo. We practiced our roping, barrel raced on our stick horses, had a cow pie toss, ate the most delicious kettle corn, found some gold, listened to local author Lindsey Miller read her children's book Girl in the Lime Green Jeans, and chatted with real live rodeo queens!
